The Club held a successful Captains and President’s Day today, Sunday 29^th May. Players were allotted to one of the 3 teams on the basis of their handicap, and each player played an individual stableford round. The scores for each player in the team were counted towards an aggregate team score.

The event was won by the Team representing the Men’s Captain (439 points), Peter Waters, who comfortably saw off the team representing the President(417 points) Chris Leaver and the Women’s Captain, Shirley Welsford (394 points) . In addition to team prizes, an award was made to the best player from each team. It was a family affair with Rod Brown 37 (Men’s Captain team), daughter Bec Thomas 35 (President’s team) and grandson Ryan Thomas 38 (Women’s Captain team) winning these prizes!

Thanks to all who attended and made the day a success and to those who brought along a plate.  The afternoon tea was great!  We intend to make this a regular event in our Club’s calendar.
