Visible Mud Local Rule

With winter hitting hard yesterday afternoon and today the likelyhood is that we will have wet, muddy conditions for play for a couple of months.

Given this, the Men’s and Women’s Captains have agreed that it ┬áis time to again invoke the Visible Mud Local Rule. From tomorrow (Saturday 25th June) and until further notice, if visible mud is evident on a player’s ball on the fairway then the player may mark, lift, clean and replace the ball without penalty. Please note that this rule does NOT apply to balls off the fairway other than on the green.

The Visible Mud Local Rule outlined above has been placed on the Local Rules Boards at the Club today.
