There were a total of 30 players enjoying beautiful golfing conditions today.  The winners were A Grade – Anna de Bondt (23) 33 pts on c/b from Trish Owen, B Grade – Kerry Hogan (26) 35 points and C Grade – Lianne Adamson (33) 36 points.  Congratulations everyone.

We had a total of 9 players in the nine hole comp, with the winner being Cheryl Borg (45) with 19 points on c/b from Pat Pease.

We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year.  Good golfing.

There were 35 players who enjoyed beautiful conditions in today’s Monthly Medal event.  The winner of the Monthly Medal and C Grade was Chris Lay 106/39/67, A Grade winner was Danita Hall 94/21/73, A Grade Scratch winner was Liz Hodge 73 c/b from Dot Stubbs and B Grade winner was Kerry Hogan 100/27/73.

There were 6 players who competed in the 9 hole comp and the winner was Jan Bissett (34) with 21 points and ball winner was Jill Steer (31) with 20 points

TWO PERSON AMBROSE: Tuesday November 27th.

Beautiful weather was was the order of the day.

64 players fronted the starters gun, and even though the recently cored greens still were a little bumpy, some great scores we handed in.

At the end of the day, Grant Mc Ritchie & Bruce Hutton were leaders in the club house with a very fine 62.5

Second over the line saw Christopher Leaver & Allan Edney with a very respectable score of 64.5

What’s a Heritage Raffle you may ask? 
The purpose of the proceeds of this Heritage Raffle is to establish a capability to digitize all of LGC’s historical holdings and to store them in a Mosaic archive which will allow on-line access for those interested viewers.  This capability will also house our present, and future collection of  material relating to H.V (Vern)  Morcom, our golf course designer.
 There are only 100 tickets @ $40/ticket (just $10/ player)  The prizes of the raffle, as you can see, are rounds of golf for 4 players at seven different golf clubs in Victoria and a round for two players in Tasmania.  Each of these very generous Clubs, have a connection with Vern Morcom and  support the purpose of the H.V.Morcom Tribute Plate event.  I encourage you to take the opportunity to play on any of these wonderful courses.
1st Prize, fittingly is a round for four (4) players donated by Kingston Heath Golf Club through General Manager, Gregg Chapple who inspired this raffle, when he presented to LGC the voucher  shortly after the inaugural H.V Morcom Tribute Match and encouraged us to continue with our mission. “The Heath” is regarded as one of the top Clubs in Australia who have hosted many prestigious international and national golfing events, and is the home Course where Vern Morcom was Head Greenkeeper then Course Superintendent for 37 years.

Teaming well to take out the number one prize was Bruce Hutton & Ron Findlay with a very respectable score of 49 points.

Rainbow Tee Charity Day

A large field played in today’s Rainbow Tee event using the black, blue, red, yellow and pink markers.   All money collected will be forwarded to the Movember Foundation, supporting Men’s Health.

Geoff Macdonald worked the colours out best of all amassing an impressive 42 stableford points.

Grade winners were Peter Hobson  (39) and Ian Watson (40).
