Some great scores again on a well prepared course.
A Grade won by Chris Leaver with a well put together 39 points.
B Grade won by Rob Martin with the score of the day – 41 points.
C Grade Peter Omond snuck in on a C/B with 36 points.
D Grade Peter Horman also had a day out with 39 points.
Today’s Mulligans 4BBB Stableford was won by the pair of Lynda Bassett and Andy Bassett with a gigantic 50 points.
The straightest drive prize was won by Marea Maher whose tee shot was resting on the rope.
After a start in misty rain, the sun came out and so did the good scores. The overall winner was Tim Hogan with 39 points. A Grade winner was Tony Gedye 37 points. B Grade Warren Dummett also 37 points.
Today’s 4BBB event was won in stunning fashion by 4 point specialists, Will Norden and Hans Hoefler, with 50 stableford point.
Tim McCarthy and Ron Findlay had a very handsome 47 points to take out the runners up prize.
Peter Buttinger was today’s hero with a hot score of 44 stableford points. Peter set up his day with a magnificent 26 points on the front 9.
Ashleigh Hutton (41 points) and Alan Sperling (41 points) were the grade winners.
Gary McGrath blitzed the field today with a monstrous 46 points. Great golf GMac, congratulations.
Andy Smith is hitting the ball well and cleaned up in A grade with 42 points and David Vorwerg was the best of B grade with 39 points.
Today’s Par Plus event was won by Kevin Scott with an extraordinary score of +11. Wow.
Grade winners with +6 were Alan Kuhne (A grade) and Ron Paice (B grade)

Beautiful weather was was the order of the day.
64 players fronted the starters gun, and even though the recently cored greens still were a little bumpy, some great scores we handed in.
At the end of the day, Grant Mc Ritchie & Bruce Hutton were leaders in the club house with a very fine 62.5
Second over the line saw Christopher Leaver & Allan Edney with a very respectable score of 64.5

A special mention today to Marilyn Williams for her “EAGLE” on the 9th.
Just before tee off time the weather was bleak and rain was falling. 28 of the 52 players booked into to play took fright and left their clubs in their bag.
24 hearty men and women teed off and were rewarded with perfect golf conditions. Not a drop of rain fell and the sun shone brightly for much of the morning.
Terry Grace mastered the course better than the rest, recording the day’s best score of 37 stableford points.

How good is golf!!!
Our annual tournament concluded today with the Kit Boag Memorial Mixed Canadian event. President Peter Waters had the biggest win of all when he won the rug that Kit crocheted before she passed away in July.
On the golfing front the prize for the best scratch score was won by visitors from Mirboo North, Lynette and Bevin Pinner, with 87 off the stick. Returning after a long break, Leroy Sharrock teamed with Trish Owen to claim the runner-up prize on the same score.
A popular win for the best nett score with Lynda and Andy Bassett playing excellent team golf to record 70 5/8th. Lianne Adamson and Rod Hopcraft put in a strong performance to claim the runner-up prize just half a shot behind.
