A separate Stableford competition was held for those who couldn’t “Grab a Lefty”.  Ken Smirk starred with a beautiful 41 points

 

 

Tuesday 21 February – Stableford

62 players enjoyed the course in perfect condition after the weekend’s heavy downpours.

Tony Roberts starred with an impressive 41 points to win today’s competition.   Leroy Sharrock was the best of the A graders with 38 points, with a little more practice he will be a handy player.  John Simon took out B grade with a solid 36 points.  Congratulations to the winners.

Friday, February 17 – South Gippsland Classic – 4BBB Stableford

A full field of 256 players enjoyed perfect conditions at the Leongatha Golf Course on Friday as part of the South Gippsland Classic.  The Course was in amazing condition and the 30 volunteers helped make the day run smoothly both inside the Club house and around the Course.

The the winning scores for the 4BBB stableford event were;

A grade:  Women – Shirley Welsford and Colleen Touzel

A grade: Men – Robert Coleman and Barry Noble

B grade:  Women – Glennis Day and Marianne Leaver

B grade: Men – Tony Ciavarella and Geoff Alborough

Highlight of the Event was an eagle two on the par 4 fifth hole by 86 year old Ken Morris of Yarram Golf Club and a handy 6 stableford points. Ken was riding on air for the rest of the day.
