What a great change to see the sun shining all day. With a drying course and near perfect conditions for golf, we all expected to play like champs and it was Wendy- Anne Parker who showed the men a thing or two and took out Best Score of the Day with 37 points. For full results click here:
Tyler Marotti continued his excellent form with a very nice 39 points. Tyler also won the Trainee Pro event at Woodlands on Monday with a fine 1 under par 71 to win by four shots.
A couple of gentlemen in hot form won B and C grade respectively – Ian Barlow (37 points) and Jim Arnott (38 points)
As we near the beginning of Spring, the scores are rising and the Women are starting to bloom in the BJS Insurance Top Gun event. Lianne Adamson is showing a lot of the Men what a good qualifying score looks like.
Still earlier in the qualifying period however, I urge all members to consider entering this Competition sooner rather than later, as a number of fabulous scores have gone to waste as the players had not signed up for the Top Gun before having that sweet round.

Although the day was wet and windy at times, a good field enjoyed getting out there and belting the ball around. None did it better than Jim Arnott who must love this time of year, with another Best Score of the Day of 36 points.

A Grade winner – Toni West c/b, B Grade winner – Nan Meagher and C Grade winner – Elise Gedye c/b. There was a total of 6 players in the 9 hole comp. The winner was Bronwyn Debenham with 16 points.
On a very cool damp day when carts were not allowed on the Course, Chris Leaver played a great game to come home with Best Score of the Day with 39 points. That may very well cement Chris a place in the BJS Insurance Top Gun Final in November.

Seven women played in the Stroke competition today, the winner was Dot Stubbs with 79 nett.
There was a total of 24 players for this middle of winter Monthly Medal. The winner of the Medal, C Grade Scratch and C Grade Nett was Jill Steer with 107/32/75, A Grade Nett – Dot Stubbs 80 nett and B Grade Nett – Loris Clark 75 nett c/b from Nancy Sperling. The Putting was won by Marianne Leaver with 30 putts on c/b from Trish Owen. The raffle was donated by Trish Owen.
There were 6 players in the 9 hole comp. The winner was Geri Hastings with 18 points.
