The chilly wind didn’t stop Neale Gillin from producing Best Score of the Day with 35 points on count back from an unlucky Paul Luck.

Par Plus was a good change today as you can get rewarded for a birdie. Whilst the breeze was chilly, the greens were superb and Michael Ellis took full advantage scoring +4 to take out A Grade and Best Score of the Day. For full results click here:

A very wet day didn’t deter the field playing a four person Gentsomes Competition, from putting in some good scores with the winning four of Peter Hartigan,Kevin Scott, Chris Leaver and Trevor Moss returning with 95 points.

9 Hole Stableford:
The Captain and his mates played in the 9 holes competition which is also available on a Thursday morning. This event is off the yellow tees and despite getting drenched, the shorter version was just a good option for the day, with Andy Bassett collecting the ball.

Todays event sponsored by Nan Meagher. There were 31 players with the winners being, A Grade-Joc Howson 33 points C/B, B Grade-Jill Steer 33 points, C Grade- Nan Meagher.
There were 11 players in the 9 hole competition. With the winner being Marie Sands with 16 points.
It may have been a cold start to the day but that didn’t stop Antony Roberts scoring a sizzling 38 points to win Best Score of the Day.

Today we had a field of 78 players compete in the Westaway Ambrose. The bad weather didn’t deter some golfers with John Wheatley and Alexander Hill combining well for a great score of 64.5 nett to take out the Handicap title this year. Father and son combo of Michael & Ryan Thomas finished with 69 off the stick to win the Scratch title this year. Well done to all players of this Westaway Memorial Open Ambrose event.

Nine pairs competed in a Ladies & Mixed Ambrose Pairs competition today. The best score was the husband & wife pair of Glenyce & Ross McRobert with a net 70.
