Saturday Results
With a Family Ambrose event scheduled for Sunday 19th June, Saturday’s 4BBB stablefrod events (the Tom Welsford Board Event and the ladies event) will be the last opportunity players involved in this year’s Final of the Esplanade Hotel Super League will have to post a score that will count for their teams.
After yesterday’s and today’s events the Cats are sitting in the box seat over the previously undefeated Hawks. They lead the Hawks, 133 to 129, and the Hawks have some heavy lifting to do to keep their undefeated record intact and take out the title!
On Tuesday Ian Barlow improved on his previous best score of 34 with a great 38 points, and followed up today with a fine 35 for good measure! He really is proving to be a thorn in the Hawks side!

At the completion of the first week of the two-week 2016 Esplanade Hotel Inverloch Super League final, the underdog Cats have set the previously high-flying Hawks a task. With wet weather causing competition cancellations and some team events scheduled during the first week, there has been little opportunity to post a score. However the Cats have made the most of their opportunities and lead 126 to 116, with Ian Barlow’s 34 points for the Cats being the best score so far.
Members of both teams will have several opportunities to score this week, with the final day of competition being Sunday 19th. We will be celebrating the season completion with a presentation dinner to be held at the Club on Friday 24th June. We encourage you to get a table together and enjoy the presentations to the winning team members and witness the count for the best players, both male and female.
Due to heavy rain in the morning Saturday, the AM times were cancelled. The results are for those who played in the afternoon, when the rain eased up.
