I very rarely take the time to say thankyou in writing. However I think on this occasion that it is important that your Board of Management and Club Staff / Members receive my appreciation as a collective for making my day yesterday.
On Wednesday of this week, myself and another friend had the pleasure and privilege of playing a round at your wonderful course for the first time.
From the moment we arrived, Justin and a multitude of ladies members preparing for their Wednesday Competition round, made us feel extremely welcome.
My first impression was that the people I came into contact with were very proud of their club and the course. I purchased a small bucket of balls to prepare for my round and met a young member “Max” He was very personable and espoused the design of the course. It made my warm up process very enjoyable.
On the 3rd hole another member “Tim” a retired chook farmer invited us to join him for he day. We gratefully accepted. His knowledge of the history and layout of the course was exceptional, and his advice on where to hit, to attain the optimum result only further added to our enjoyable day.
The course itself is a postcard from hole 1 all the way through to hole 18. Considering the rain the area has endured over the past month I can only highly praise the skill and commitment of your green staff. They have done a magnificent job under no doubt trying conditions. I love the layout, and the challenge a round here entails. It is a very fair course that demands respect and a thoughtful approach to every shot. Most courses have a string of 6 or so memorable holes. Very few have 18 of them as Leongatha does.
Thankyou for a wonderful experience and we will be back as soon as possible, for another taste of the people, facilities and course.

Hi Josh and staff, Just a quick email to thank you for all your efforts in your recent Annual Tournament. While we were only able to play the Friday event this year, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The boys are already talking about how they would like to return next year for more events throughout the week. The prizes are better than anything we compete for in Melbourne and the course is in better condition than many of the sandbelt courses that we get to play during pennant and course swap days. I would like to say a big thank-you for running the Trainee Pro-Am. I keep mentioning to the Huntingdale members that Leongatha is a hidden gem! I would like to say a big thanks to all the wonderful volunteers and members. I spoke to most of the Trainees and they all loved the course and said the greens were the toughest they have played!
