Hole 18
This Par 5 finishing hole will leave a decision for the long hitter on their second shot. The tee shot is straightaway. However the hole doglegs right with about 90 metres to go. Mature gums guard the right hand side and only a towering fade will clear them and hold the surface as they only cut out about 20 metres from the green. The other option is to play straight up the fairway to the end of the dogleg and pitch into the green protected by a front bunker.
Pro tip
A par 5 finishing hole that presents a birdie opportunity if played right. A massive wide fairway where the best position is centre of slightly to the left. Depending on the length of the drive, an option could be to take on the trees with your second, if you dare. From the drain you will have about 170m to get to the corner for a look at the green. This leaves a short pitch to the green for your 3rd.
A bunker protects the front left of the green and anything long will fall off the back side. The green itself is pretty flat and once on, it’s one of the easiest greens to putt.
