Men’s Pennant update

The final of round of men’s pennant will be played this weekend.

Our Division 1 side is second on the ladder after a super impressive 6-1 win over 3rd placed Lang Lang.  The team will be looking for a win this weekend against top side Wonthaggi to secure a place in the final.  After Round 5 the ladder is

Wonthaggi 5 – 22

Leongatha 3 – 19

Lang Lang 2 – 16

Meeniyan 0 – 13

Division 4 defeated Korumburra to maintain their unbeaten run.  They are now guaranteed a berth in the final and will be hoping to earn promotion back to Division 3 in 2019.  After Round 5 the ladders is;

Leongatha 4.5 – 19.5

Phillip island 3.5 – 20.5

Wonthaggi 1.5 – 17.5

Korumburra 0.5 – 12.5

Division 5 belted Korumburra 5-2 to put themselves in a strong position to earn a place in the final.  They will need to beat top team Welshpool to be assured of playing for the flag.  The ladder is as follows;

Welshpool 5 – 24

Leongatha 3 – 19

Lang Lang 2 – 19

Korumburra 0 – 8

So, in a best case scenario we will have all three of our teams playing in their respective finals and we could have three 2018 flags hanging proudly in the clubhouse.

Good hitting to all three teams.
