Primary Schools Local Qualifier at Leongatha

Leongatha Golf Club hosted 21 young primary school children for a Stage 1 Primary Schools qualifying event.  There are 3 stages to progress, local through to regional to be held at Warragul and then the State Final to be held at Kooringal.  Two local Members progressed to the next stage in Beau Elkin and Louis Read.  Two names for us to watch closely in the future.  Well done boys!

Popular member and talented lefthander,  Frank Smedley achieved every golfer's dream by hole out on the 16th hole today. Men’s & Women’s 36 Hole Leongatha Open Amateur

Wednesday 24th October 2018 – Monthly Medal Stroke

Today's event was generously sponsored by Lynda Basset.  There were 32 players who vied to win the rescheduled September Monthly Medal, in beautiful (mostly) October weather.  The winners were A Grade: Sue Wylie 96-21-75, B Grade and Medal: Kerry Hogan 101-29-72, C Grade: Jan Brownlie 113-33-80 and A Grade Scratch: Toni West 88 gross.  Congratulations Kerry. One group of stars topped the field today. A grade was won by Gordon Morrison with a mighty 41 points, knocking off playing partner Geoff McDonald who had 40 points.
