BJS Insurance -TOP GUN UPDATE

With the course in great condition and the sun shining, the scores are sky rocketing but unfortunately some good scorers are missing out on the coming BJS Insurance Top Gun shootout because they haven’t joined in…yet.  Still time as the Qualifying period doesn’t end until Thursday November 9th…. 3 weeks to go.

The Ladies are still represented by Lianne Adamson who is solidly entrenched for the final with 37 points and it’s not too late for her mates to join her.

Tuesday Stableford- 17 October 2017

Norm Hughes had a blinder of a game today scoring 41 points and taking Best Score of the Day and both nearest the pins with .53M on the 14th and .48m on the 16th Hole. A fabulous round to say the least on our first taste of summer. For a full wrap of prize winners, click here.

G & P West Mixed Canadian Foursomes.

The sun was shining on the Leongatha field who took part in the 35th annual G & P West Mixed Canadian Foursomes event sponsored by Mrs Pat West.  The winners on the day were the Women’s Captain Trish Owen and her partner Doug Clemann.  For full results of prize winners click here:

Men’s Club Championships – Round 1

The first round of the men’s Club Championship was completed today.  The course was in beautiful condition and a few stars emerged with excellent scores.  The best score of the day was 82 from defending club champion Tom Sorrell,  perennial great performer Chris Leaver and birdie, birdie, birdie man Jason Dennerley.   Three other are sitting on 83 making for an interesting and exciting couple of week to come.

D grade is based on player’s converted Stableford score, with Ted Rudge sneaking out to a handy first round lead.

This Board event is donated by the McMicking family and is awarded to the male player with the best 5 nett scores over the 8 monthly medals  from March to October.

Congratulations to the 2017 winner, Peter Buttinger.  Peter recorded nett scores of 73, 77 68 , 71 and 74 for a very impressive total of 363, beating other solid performers Russell Williams (366), John Federsen and Doug Clemann ( both 371).  Peter will be presented with his prize at the annual Presentation Night on December 1

Men’s Monthly Medal Saturday October 14

92 players took to the course in perfect conditions although score was tough. Mark Anderson had a day out today, not only winning the monthly medal with 71 Nett but doing it in style by making an eagle down the 18th hole! Jason Dennerley won A-Grade with 71 Nett. Frank Gill continued his good form by taking out C-Grade with 72 Nett. Club Captain Andy Basset won D-Grade also with a score of 72 Nett.

Saturday 14th October 2017 – Women’s Stableford

Today was the first round of the Saturday Championships for women.  Unfortunately there were only 9 players today, however everyone is still able to play, as the result is decided from the best 2 of 3 stableford rounds, so get your names in for the next 2 weeks.  Today’s winner was Toni West with a score of 32 points.  16th NTP was Wendy Parker.

Wednesday 11th October 2017 Women’s Monthly Medal Stroke

Today’s event sponsored by Melina Willder and Sue Wylie.  Total of 24 players.

Monthly Medal, B Grade and B Grade scratch winner was Nancy Sperling 101/26/75, A Grade winner was Toni West 76 nett and C Grade winner was Georgina Mitchell 76 nett.

Nine Hole competition was won by Pat Pease with 19 points on c/b from Shirley Welsford.
