Eight teams made up of 64 players finally got away in the first round of the Invy Espy Hotel 2019 Super League.
With many scores in the mid to high thirties, the Super League team certainly had their hands full working out the winners. Anne Gibson with a great score of 42 points took out the inaugural Rod Brown Best & fairest.
Team Possums will certainly be closely watched by the Super League management in round 2.
They came flying out of the starters blocks by a great win (141) and percentage builder over Team Echidnas (125)

Today’s event was sponsored by Renee McLennan from MTA Travel . We had a total of 27 players brave the wet and windy conditions. The winners were A Grade – Trish Owen (16) 32 points, B Grade – Karen Orford (34) 32 points and C Grade (38) Bronwyn Debenham 32 points. The raffle was donated by Helen Mackenzie and won by Libby Christison.
There were 4 players in the 9 hole comp, with the winner being Trish Miller (37) with 19 points.
George Hendry shot the lights out to win today’s Stroke event with a stunning 62 nett.
Geoff McDonald (A grade) and Terry Grace (C grade) were the grade winners with 71 nett and 70 nett respectively.
A great turnout of 57 players attended our 2019 Opening Day Ambrose in perfect conditions. The winners with a great score of 31.34 net were Rebecca Thomas, Lyn Shaw and Marg Sprague. Runners-up were Marianne Leaver, Robin Smith and Chris Lay with 35.9 net and in Third Place was Loris Clark, Karen Murchie and Maxine Eabry. NTP was: 14th Rebecca Thomas 1.1m and 16th Lianne Adamson 0.77m.
Greg Ellt was today’s hero with a very classy 40 points. Hot shooting Greg.
Leroy Sharrock cleaned up in A grade with 38 points and Joe Lowell won a 3-way countback to take out B grade with 38 points.
