Congratulations to James Betts in his fine play to win the 2017 Trainee Pro Am with a round of 70.
Also congratulations to Malcolm Gin in winning the amateur side of the event with a stableford score of 40. Grade B winner was Ron Paice with 39 points.

78 players took to the course in perfect conditions today with the scores reflecting that. Peter Hobson was our overall winner with a terrific 42 points. Russell Williams took out A-Grade with a brilliant score of 40 points. In B-Grade John Simon was too good winning with a great score of 37 points.

The Men’s Monthly Medal winner for January is Phillipe du Plessis with a nett 69 winning on c/b from an unlucky D Grade winner, Donald Smith also on nett 69.

87 Players enjoyed the lovely conditions, with the scores reflecting the brilliant weather. Winner with 39 points was Frank Smedley. Peter Buttinger took out A-grade with 38 points and Neale Gillin was too good in B-grade with another good score of 37 points.

100 People took on the sweltering conditions with some good scores coming from the day. The overall winner with 38 points was Christopher Leaver. Special mention to Gary Sharrock for his eagle on the 5th hole.
Most of the sixteen women played in the early morning time slots today to beat the hot conditions. Coral Gray was one of the early birds and showed the rest of the field a clean pair of heels winning with 40 points. Coral seems to enjoy summer golf as she is on top of her game this week.
