Scoring was tough today in the windy conditions.
Ken Smirk kept the ball straight to register 35 points to win today’s event on a countback from the in-form player John French.
Greg Ellt bobbed up to win B grade with a nice 34 points.

Wow, what a super day for golf and the course was in great nick. Michael Thomas & Norman Hughes scored a fabulous 62.75 nett to beat the field, with Craig Hams & Tyler Marotti coming in as runner ups with 64.5.

Today’s event and the Mudrunners Plate was generously sponsored by Pat Pease. Thank you for your ongoing sponsorship of this event Pat. The raffle was donated by Vicki Milner. The winners of today’s event are – A Grade: Trish Owen (17) 36 points and B Grade: Chris Lay (40) 39 points. Winner of the Mudrunners Plate was Karen Orford with a two round total of 72 points. Winner of the best nine over the two rounds was Chris Lay with 22 points.
Winner of the 9 hole comp (for the 6th week in a row) was Karen Murchie (39) with 16 points.
Today was the final round of the Worm Burners Medal. Played in blusterly but dry conditions, the Best Round of the Day was a blistering 43 points scored by B Grade Winner, Antony Roberts closely followed by an excellent 40 points by both Michael Thomas and Gary Peeters. Michael took out A Grade for the daily competition. Gary didn’t miss out either as he is the winner of the 2018 Worm Burners Medal after rounds of 35 & 40 giving a winning score of 75, to win by one shot from Terry Grace (35 & 39-74) with Antony Roberts a further shot away with a two round total of 73 (30 & 43)

On a wild and windy day where scores in the 20’s were commonplace Colin Sperling starred with the day’s best score of 38 points
