Saturday 8th June Stableford event

Great weather and course conditions greeted the players today.  We had 113 men and women play in the competitions today.

Mariliyn Williams took out the women’s A-Grade with 36 points. whilst Allison Strong won B-Grade with 30 points.

Dan Ruffin had the best score of the day with 39 points.  The other grade winners were Wayne Keen, Ian Murchie & Ian Watson with 36, 33 & 38 points respectively.

Men’s Monthly Medal & Women’s Stroke Saturday 1st June

After a wet and wild week, players were greeted with much better conditions for the Stroke events today.

John McInnes proved too good for all other comers in the men’s field with a fine nett 67 to take home the Medal.

Rebecca Wilson won the women’s event on a countback from the evergreen Dot Stubbs both on nett 75.

There were 80 players in today’s competition fields.

R&M Hodges 4BBB Mixed Stableford

A large field competed in the R. and M. Hodges Mixed 4BBB Board event last Sunday in fine but windy conditions. This Board Hodges picevent is held annually in recognition of two past members who were office bearers and extremely hard workers for the club. Blair Hodges generously sponsors this event on behalf of his parents each year.

Amy Blencowe partnered well with husband Scotty Blencowe to win the event with 41 points. Else and Tony Gedye were runners up with 40 points on a count back.

Down the line balls were won by the following combinations: Lachlan Thomas and Dot Stubbs 40, Maryanne Gartner and Rod Mackenzie, Neil and Helen Mackenzie and  Ian and Coralie Baker 39 points, Lynda and Andy Bassett, Glenn Marsham and Rebecca Wilson and Wendy Parker and Malcolm Legge 38, Barry and Glenys Day and Jill and Rob Martin 37, Don and Robin Smith, Barry Stevens and Alison Strong, Ashleigh Hutton and Steve Fisher, Liz Hodge and Garry Rotteveel and Glenyce and Ross McRobert 36 points.
