Once again we had some good scores registered, but with no change to the top four.
And on a high after his three weeks in America, Peter Waters hit the ground running with a fine B & F Score of the round with 39 Points.

76 brave players took to the course today in extremely tough conditions. Overall winner with a great score of 36 points was Geoff McDonald. The ever consistent Merv Stubbs won B-Grade with 33. David Barrack took out C-Grade with another great score of 36 points.

Today’s winner with an outstanding 39 points was mew member, Greg Ellt. Congratulations to Greg on his first competition win. Many more to come for sure.

19 brave and hearty golfers enjoyed the challenging weather conditions today.
Ken Smirk was the pick of the crop with a very good 34 points. 34 points today is as good as 40 points on a dry day, so great work Ken.
Congratulations to Joe Lowell on a very fine 39 points to win today’s event.

A full field of 256 players enjoyed perfect conditions at the Leongatha Golf Course on Friday as part of the South Gippsland Classic. The Course was in amazing condition and the 30 volunteers helped make the day run smoothly both inside the Club house and around the Course.
The the winning scores for the 4BBB stableford event were;
A grade: Women – Shirley Welsford and Colleen Touzel
A grade: Men – Robert Coleman and Barry Noble
B grade: Women – Glennis Day and Marianne Leaver
B grade: Men – Tony Ciavarella and Geoff Alborough
Highlight of the Event was an eagle two on the par 4 fifth hole by 86 year old Ken Morris of Yarram Golf Club and a handy 6 stableford points. Ken was riding on air for the rest of the day.
Congratulations to James Betts in his fine play to win the 2017 Trainee Pro Am with a round of 70.
Also congratulations to Malcolm Gin in winning the amateur side of the event with a stableford score of 40. Grade B winner was Ron Paice with 39 points.

On a beautiful day 48 people played the course in perfect conditions. Overall winner today was Margaret Griffihs with a great score of 37 Points. Peter Brownlie took out A-grade with 35 points,
