Monthly Medal September 7th

In less than favourable conditions, 49 brave souls tackled the course for the September Monthly Medal. Congratulations to Chris Leaver was the overall winner on a countback with a score of 73. B Grade was won by Nick Shaw with a nett score of 75 and C Grade was won by Scotty Blencowe, who lost the overall win on a countback also with a score of 73.

Women’s Monthly Medal Wednesday September 4th

Twenty nine women played in the September Monthly Medal. Fay Quilford won the medal and A Grade with a nett 77. Nan Meagher was the C Grade winner with 80 nett. Marea Maher won B Grade also with an 80 nett. The A Grade scratch event was won by Ashleigh hutton with 95.  Thank you to Libby Seebeck and Jan Bissett for the raffle prize.

Stroke Tuesday 3rd September

A glorious Spring morning greeted the 51 competitors for today’s stroke round; also the third of the 4 Seasons rounds to be played over the year.

David Forbes handled the conditions best to run out overall winner on countback, with a nett 72. Ron Findlay also shot 72 nett to take out B-grade and Peter Hobson finished with a nett 76 to win C-grade; also on countback.

Today we had 81 players in our men’s event enjoy fine conditions on the course

Overall Winner: Darrell Prior with 38 points

B-Grade Winner: Allan Kuhne with 37 points

C-Grade Winner: Gerry Carcour with 36 points

14th NTP: Rod Hopcraft with 1.35m

16th NTP: Andrew Smith with 1.8m

#DoItForJarrod Challenge Day

62 players participated in today’s events with proceeds going to Challenge supporting kids with cancer.

The winners of the Gentsomes event were Chris Leaver, John McInnes, Peter Hartigan and Trevor Moss with 114 points.

Ian Barlow, Ian Murchie, Dean Kellett and Kevin Michael took the runner-up prize with 112 points

Changeover Day Ambrose 3’s

Eleven groups braved the elements today and the rain gods were kind . The winning team, Ashleigh Hutton, Pam Christenson and Melinda Martin came in with a great score of 58.166 recurring. The outgoing committee member Lianne Adamson was thanked for her contribution to the club and champagne was enjoyed by all .

Past Captains v New Committee Day

8 of the Club’s past Captains challenged the New Golf Committee in today’s 4BBB Stableford event.   The new Committee snuck in for a victory by 6 matches to 4 with a few matches drawn.

The best score of the day was 41 points by the pairing of Allan Kuhne and George Hendry.  Ken Smirk and Ian Barlow beat 3 othe pairs on a countback to win the runner-up prize with 40 points

Continuing his amazing run of success with the Nearest the Pin prize, Ian Barlow took the honours on 14.  Ashleigh Hutton was best on 16.

A beautiful sunny day met the 89 Members & Guests today.

The wind proved to be challenging for some.

Stableford Thursday 22nd August

A good field of 48 players battled fine but blustery conditions in today’s competition. Norm Hughes played very solid golf to run out overall winner on countback with 34 points. The B-grade contingent obviously found the going pretty tough, as evidenced by Peter Hartigan’s winning score of 30 points; also on countback. Kevin Michael rounded out the grade winners; shooting a fine 34 points to take out C-grade.
