A good field of 60 golfers battled the blustery conditions in today’s 4BBB competition. Stephen Lacy & Jeff White handled the conditions best to score an overall win with 43 points. Ian Barlow & David Child played some good golf to take out second prize on a countback with 42 points.

Brad O’Brien scorched the fairways today with a blazing 43 points. He paid tribute to Tyler for pointing him in the right direction with a couple of lessons earlier in the month.
Doug Clemann showed a few of his old skills to clean up in A grade with 40 points, John Moor made a welcome return to the winner’s dais with 36 points to win B grade and Gerry Mooney’s 38 points made him the clear winner in D grade.

A good field of 65 intrepid golfers enjoyed beautiful Spring conditions for today’s stableford competition. Bob Smith handled the fine conditions best to score 39 points and win overall on countback from Peter Hobson; also with 39 points to take out B-grade. A-grade honours went to Geoff McDonald, with 36 points.

Today’s field of 55 golfers were treated to a fine Spring morning for the Stableford competition. Ron Findlay shots the lights out with an excellent score of 40 points to win overall. Tony Gedye and Trevor Moss also played great golf to score 38 points and take out A-grade and C-grade respectively.

A field of 53 hardy golfers braved the elements in today’s stableford competition. Resident Pro Tyler Marotti handled the conditions best to take out A-grade & overall honours with an outstanding 40 points. In-form golfer Frank Gill fared best in B-grade with 37 points; while Jim Arnott played very good golf to score 38 points & take C-grade honours.

Jason Dennerley led the way with 35 points in today’s stableford event. Congratulations on a fine win.
Grade winners were Paul Luck in B grade and Alan Sperling in C grade both with 33 points. Peter Stivic, Andy Bassett and Ron Findlay were all stiff to miss on on a countback.

On a rain-affected morning, 32 players finished today’s round as the sun broke through.
Five excellent players finished on square with Rob Martin coming out on top after a countback.
A grade was won by Doug Clemann on a countback knocking off the unlucky trio of Allan Kuhne, Panu Kuhne and Colin Bear

On a beautiful sunny first Sunday of the month of October, a good field were welcomed to the 37th annual Gordon West competition by life member Mrs Pat West. All players play off the yellow tees on the back 9 of our Leongatha Course. Players of any level are welcome to come along and join in on this event, on the first Sunday of the summer months. Players not already in a team will be allocated to a team for the day, no need to book, just turn up between 7.30-9.00am. Members and visitors alike are welcome to join in on this event for the day, for a $5.00 comp. fee. Photo shows Pat West, Trevor Seebeck and Ian Danks hard at work tallying up the scores on the opening day.
