In tricky conditions, Gordon Morrison was a cut above the rest and a clear overall winner with 40 points. Geoffrey Maher won B Grade with 37 points and Hans Hoefler took out C Grade with 36 points.

A field of 33 players contested the second round of the Wormburners Medal, with Doug Clemman finding the windy conditions to his liking to score an impressive 38 points & take out A-grade. Kevin Michael played well to win B-grade with 35 points. For the 2-round Wormburners competition, first round leader, Wayne Keen maintained his strong form to shoot 36 points today and take out the Medal with an overall score of 77 points from Ken Smirk on 72 points in second place.

12 very keen golfers managed to get through their Saturday competition rounds yesterday. Paul Dell took the chocolates on countback from Phil Douglass both with excellent scores of 34 points.
In clear conditions, Winton Knopp was a strong winner with 65 Nett. 2nd was Ken Smirk with 70 Nett and 3rd was Peter Horman with 74 Nett.
Wet conditions underfoot, but not wet behind the ears was our winner, Ross McRobert with 36 points. Hans Hoefler was second with a very sound 34 points. Well done to every who played.
Today was the first round of the Cashin Cup Match Play Board Event and also an 18 Hole Stableford Event.
The 18 hole Stableford event was contested by 17 players, with the A Grade winner Marea Maher 33 points, B Grade was won by Libby Christison 36 points.
The 9 hole event was won by Trish Miller 17 points and DTL Elizabeth Jacobs.

Round Six (6) Invy Espy Hotel Super League Results
There was movement at the station as the players made a run for home in the second last home and away round for this season.
Wombats 134 calmly held onto top spot with a 3 point win over Kookaburras 131 which knocked them out of the top four.
Rosellas 148 had a big win over Platypuses 113 to move themselves up into second place
Second from the bottom and winless to this round, Koalas 137 rolled over Possums 133 and in turn moving Possums from second place into third.
Bottom team Echidnas 140 have left their run a bit late with their first win of the season over Kangaroos 124, and in turn moving Kangaroos from third place into fourth.
This weeks round has some interesting match ups, and could see some considerable movements in the top 5 places 1 Vs 3 2 Vs 4 5 Vs 8.
Round Six (6) Winner of the ROD BROWN Best & Fairest was Max Hyde with a great score of 41 Points.
Friday 12th April Sponsors & Volunteers Day
Irish Stableford was the game of the day, and what a great day it was.
A magnificent lunch to begin the day along with perfect golfing conditions and the high playing standard of the course certainly helped with the top scorers
First over the line saw Darren Read, Nick Shaw, Allister Scott, Thomas Williamson and Gus Kirk turn in 104 Points
Next in line with a very reasonable score of 96. was Hans Hoefler, Greg Ellt, Bob Smith and George Misson
In third place, Andy and Lynda Bassett along with Peter Waters and Garry Rotteveel came home with another fine score of 95 Points.
Nearest the Pins 14th Bob Smith 3.85 mtrs 16th Kevin Castwood 4.33 mtrs.
Perfect weather, no wind and overcast skies didn’t leave a reason for bad scores today for the 89 players that faced the starter’s gun.
Overall and D Grade winner Michael Oliver must have loved the conditions playing off 31 had a great 40 points.
A Grade off a handicap of 11 was Ryan Thomas with 37 Points
B Grade Gordon Morrison 16/ 37 points.
C Grade John Renwick 23 / 39 Points

Once again with some close scores and even another tied match, the race for the top four spots with two rounds to go isn’t over yet.
Not one of the top six teams is set in place, and last year, position six came flying out of the box and moved up to mid top four to qualify for the finals. So give it your best and one never knows where one may end up.
Sad news for teams Koalas and my team Echidnas the season is over.
The Round five (5) ‘ROD BROWN’ B & F Winner …was Gary McGrath with a fine 38 points just piping out Ian Barlow with 37 points.
